Vancouver’s Ben Reeder, a core member of Bent Matter (video production company), looks forward to challenging the concept of video projection for the AV Club at Open Studios this Saturday. Open Studios, at a former commercial film space, is one of the largest artist-run centres for performance in Vancouver and is a member of the Pacific Association of Artist Run Centres (PAARC) established in 1988.
The non-profit Open Forms Media Art Society was created at the inception of Open Studios to create a space for independent media arts and music convergence, with resulting urban regeneration in the south Main area. Over the years, this artist run studio near Science World in Vancouver has held over 100 media art, video, installation and electronic music events since it opened its doors and Ben Reeder of Bent Matter is one of its key founding members. |
